Tell us about you! Anything and everything that makes you unique as a couple.

We were both born and raised in South Florida, and we are both FAU Alumni. However, we didn’t officially meet until 2014, when a mutual friend introduced us. We had a lot of fun together, but nothing happened between us until five years later! Abe sent me a dm through Instagram after seeing a picture I posted with me surrounded by sunflowers. We hung out once, and that was it; we couldn’t stay away from each other. What makes us unique is that when we first met, we both knew it wasn’t the right time; however, years later, we found our way back to each other.

What was your style inspiration for the overall aesthetic and feel of your wedding?

I didn’t have a style in mind when we began the planning process. I am the kind of person that chooses things as we go. My mom is an artist, so she helped me a lot. When we started talking about florals, I saw Bobbi Brown’s son’s wedding on Instagram, and I loved the flowers. We showed our planner, and that was it. As my mom said, “think of Alice in Wonderland – falling down the rabbit hole.”

What was your favorite part about your venue? In other words, what made you choose it?

We both wanted a sunset wedding and I wanted a private venue overlooking the water. Powel Crosley was the perfect venue for us. We liked that historic, classic look, but most importantly we wanted the sunset and nice weather. We were very fortunate that everything worked out perfectly.

What was your favorite part about wedding planning?

My favorite part was working with my mom to make this beautiful event happen. My least favorite part was the guest list and reaching out to people to see if they were coming.

As a follow-up to that: If you could pick one thing to do differently in your wedding planning, what would that be?

I wouldn’t change anything because it was perfect!!

Any other comments? We’d love to hear!

Going into the wedding, I didn’t know what to expect because I come from a divorced family who does not get along, but this night was special because the planning was done so well that it brought everyone together in a way that no one could be upset. Everybody was in the moment, sharing each other’s love.
