The best investment as a business owner is yourself. And this couldn’t ring truer than for creatives, such as photographers.
Over the past few years, our style and photographic voice has begun in a direction that we describe as European emotive. The wedding photography industry has had it’s share of trends, but we are committed to finding a style that is both timeless and artistic, candid and thoughtful, emotional and peaceful.
The Wolves Workshop, the brain child of mastermind photographer Pablo Beglez, came highly recommended to us which is held each year on the most beautiful island on earth: La Grociosa, Canary Islands, Spain. To say that we were honored to have received a coveted spot on the attendees list for 2021 is an understatement. We were actually placed on the waiting list when we first applied, as seats fill up within hours of their announcements each year. So, needless to say, when we received the call that they had two cancelations, we jumped at the opportunity to attend.
No one can adequately prepare you for the beauty that La Grociosa holds. It quite literally took our breath away when riding the ferry to the island and we turned the corner of the lighthouse to see the island for the first time.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the faces of new friends from around the globe – all wolves in the pack. Austria, Canada, Russia, USA, UK, and beyond – we all came together to learn from some of the brightest and most talented photographers in all the world. This past year’s masterclass lineup included heroes of ours such as: Dani with Bring Me Somewhere Nice, Anna with Ginger’s Eyes, and Daniel with People True Love Tellers.
As a part of the week’s experience, we had styled shoots with some of the most beautiful model couples from Spain. Gorgeous gowns, suits and details were carefully curated and brought in to create some of the most gorgeous destination wedding shoots.
To be able to accurately describe all of what Garry and I took away from Wolves Workshop wold be an impossible task. We made connections, grew professionally and technically, but more importantly than that – we feel like we ‘found ourselves’ creatively.
